Grindelwald, a wizard supremacist who was last seen trying to incite a world war, hopes to convince the magical world to support his campaign for the rule of magic-free people. (The role was last played by Johnny Depp; Mads Mikkelsen takes on the role here, and Grindelwald’s threats sound more likely when they are brought in with a bloodless Mikkelsen chill.) Rowling readers know they refer to people who are not as magical as Muggles. For Grindelwald, “they are animals,” though he admits they made a nice cup of tea. (Warner Bros media release).
